開 催 目 的
Reason for this Event
FOR TOHOKU
東日本大震災から今年で10年を迎えようとしています。しかしながらその年月を経ても、未だに仮設住宅での暮らしを余儀なくされている方、また震災で受けた傷に苦しんでいる方も少なくありません。そのような方々を支援したいという願いを込めて、今回の企画を立案しました。
This year marks ten years since the East Japan triple disaster. But even so there are people yet living in temporary accommodation and many still suffer from the wounds they received from the disaster. It was a desire to help these people that led us to plan this event.
また新型コロナウイルスの感染が広がる中のため、今までのマラソン大会と違い、全てオンラインにて行います。記録集計期間を設けていますので、その期間に時間・場所を問わず走っていただいて、指定のアプリで記録をしていただいたものを集計して順位をHPにて毎日ご紹介させていただきます。
With the ongoing spread of Covid-19 we decided to hold this marathon event online. There is a set time-frame for the marathon, meaning that you can run whenever and wherever you wish during that period, and we will gather the information using an app and then update the results to our website on a daily basis.

What they Do
オペレーション・ブレッシングはアメリカバージニア州を本部とし、キリスト教精神をもとに世界49ヵ国で災害支援・人道支援をおこなう国際NGOです。東日本大震災の発生直後から日本での支援活動を開始しオペレーション・ブレッシング・ジャパンを設立(宮城県仙台市)。東北各地と福島県の原発被災地で支援を続けています。発災から10年を節目に「こころのケア」を中心とした支援活動をさらに充実させる計画です。
Operation Blessing is an International NGO with a Christian ethos. They are based out of Virginia, USA and provide disaster relief and humanitarian aid in 49 countries around the world.
Immediately after the East Japan triple disaster they started disaster relief in Japan and established Operation Blessing Japan (based in Sendai city, Miyagi prefecture).
They continue aid work throughout the Tohoku area and in the areas of Fukushima that were affected by the nuclear disaster.
As we enter ten years since the disaster they are planning on increasing work in the area with a focus on ‘heart care.’

オンラインマラソンって普通のマラソンと何が違うんですか？
How is an online marathon different from a regular marathon?
オンラインマラソンは、GPS付ランニングウォッチやスマートフォンなどを使って行うマラソン大会です。主催者が決めた実施期間中に指定された距離を走りますが、コースは参加者が自由に決められるので、好きなコースを走る事ができます。
An online marathon is a marathon ran using a running watch with GPS or a smart phone.
Participants run a specified distance during the implementation period decided by the organizer, but the course can be freely decided by the participants, so they can run any course they want.

Just the name of one representative is OK.

こちらはグループでの参加の場合は1000円で大丈夫です。
